Your journey, illustrated

A client chose this from a series of stock photos as the one that most closely represented how the inner image that came up for him in the session made him feel. This was to give him practice visualizing, since his images are usually more feeling-based  than visual.

There is no right or wrong in imagery. Michael was simply curious to see if he could correlate his feeling-based, inner image to a physical image from a photograph. He was delighted to find this one, and says the exercise gives him another perspective.

Michael never says, "I can't visualize" anymore, because now he is learning to visualize in his own, unique way!

An artist in recovery

Denise makes her first imagery painting, and says it felt like "a call to God for help".

From the book, "Rituals of Healing" by Jeanne Achterberg, Ph.D, et al.

Pioneers in the field of imagery, Jeanne Achterberg and her colleagues illustrate its power to activate the mind and body's natural healing resources, and document their successes with pain management,  lifestyle changes, and much more.

This beautiful Monarch chose my fern as its final resting place. A butterfly's life is short, and focused only on the moment and its purpose within that moment. It seems to know nothing about time.

Butterflies travel great distances in their short lives, which begin as eggs, that then become soft, fuzzy caterpillars, who soon shed their skins to reveal hard-shelled chrysalises underneath. Finally, they emerge in all their glory as colorful, winged creatures who fly freely, unbound by time, focused only on the miracle of their own transformation!
